Giving Tuesday is a day of giving. It was founded in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation as a day that encourages people to do good. Here are some ways you can give back locally!
Take part in a Giving Event
Purchase a listing in the Women-Owned Merry Market to help support local non-profit, A Place to Rise or make a donation on their webpage!
The mission of A Place to Rise is to help women in need of mentorship and community. Each participant will receive a year of individualized support to assist them with career, family, and personal goals. Through this effort, we hope to inspire, embolden and empower more women in their own goals.Bring an unwrapped toy or gift card to The Collective Co. in support of Scituate Community Christmas.
Support your local food banks such as the Scituate Food Pantry or Marshfield Food Pantry. See a list of local food pantry partners from the South Shore Community Action Council.

empowerHer - empowerHER is the only organization in the country specifically working to address the struggles of girls whose mothers have died, and we’re doing vital work.
Love Life Now Foundation - Love Life Now Foundation promotes year-round awareness around the issue of domestic violence via various initiatives, points people in the right direction for help and helps to bridge the gap between shelters, nationwide and the communities they serve.
Free. - Free. is an ongoing ministry offered by St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, MA. Free. provides menstrual hygiene products to anyone in need. Free, period.
Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield - The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield (the Club) is a youth development organization providing programs and services to the children and families of the South Shore. Our programs provide safe, fun, and educational enrichment programming. Our services include care for children any time they are out-of-school, vacation weeks and summer programs, youth athletics, teen and social recreational opportunities.
North and South Rivers Watershed Association - Healthy rivers and waters don’t happen on their own. It takes education, advocacy, action, and a community that cares to protect our waters.
