Margaret Farrell Bruno is a local award winning landscape/portrait artist and illustrator who lives and paints on the Massachusetts South Shore. Being a native of the area, she grew up surrounded by the splendid coastline and luscious cranberry bogs, which continue to inspire her pastel and oil landscapes. She left the South Shore as a young woman to study at Pratt Institute fulfilling her BFA. She worked in and experienced the art culture of New York City for many years, but was drawn back to her South Shore roots. Along with the joys of raising her family, she continued her career and business as an artist and illustrator.
A long time supporter of the local arts culture, she works to provide both educational workshops, and gallery experiences for her work and that of many local artists. As recent past President of the Board of Directors and a Board Member of the North River Arts Society, Margaret has provided her professional leadership for this well established Art Society in both membership, growth and reputation.
Besides signature membership in National and local Art Societies, Margaret also belongs to two local women artists painting groups, The Girls Just Wanna Paint and The Tuesday Painters. She enjoys the camaraderie and support these successful women offer.
