empowering small business owners through tech
In this episode we are talking with William MacFee, an IT expert who answers the prayers of frustrated business owners who feel burdened by technology instead of empowered by it. Will was a licensed Reactor Operator at NC State for the school’s reactor before he worked for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission analyzing nuclear fuel designs. After two years at the federal government, he felt it was time to come home and joined his father’s IT firm. Since then, he’s used his engineering background to develop simple and thoughtful solutions to small business IT problems. When he’s not fixing servers or deploying cybersecurity solutions, Will likes to play guitar, brew his own beer, and build electronics.
Will shares his background and his work. He talked about systems support, his offers to clients and top their needs. Also we discussed the reality of the working balance and difference between on home and business IT needs Will can touch. Moreover, he shared some tips on how to choose an IT provider and what to pay attention to.

When The CC was created one of the first things we did was meet with an accountant. She got us set up on QuickBooks pronto and we haven’t looked back! And, we promise, our dislike of math and all things finances is UP there! But, if we can do it, so can you! We couldn't recommend QuickBooks enough! It offers comprehensive features so you can spend less time crunching those numbers and more time managing all of those other small biz tasks. But, if you do love a good spreadsheet QuickBooks has all of the tools you’ll need – from automating accounting work, managing cash flow and (eek) preparing for tax time, QuickBooks can do it all and has become a trusted tool for our business!
