gather visuals that align with your goals

Once you have your template, start gathering visuals that align with your goals. We suggest first categorizing your goals and, where it applies, getting really specific around them.
Remember you can update your vision board as you go, or always start over if you like. A vision board is all about creating that visual reminder of what you’re trying to accomplish and it should inspire you! We suggest using Canva or Pinterest to search for and gather your images together. Look for images, quotes and visuals that will inspire you to realize your dreams and goals on a daily basis.

begin laying images out in your template

Once you have your categories and images gathered, the fun begins. If your images aren’t already loaded in Canva simply upload them by heading to the upload tab in Canva and clicking “upload files”. Then simply drag and drop each image into a blank spot in the template. Move them around until they feel visually appealing. Then update the “goals” text with either your specific goal or aspirational categories. It is totally up to you! Here is my progress and final board for 2023!

lastly, place your vision board where you’ll see it daily

Putting your goals in a visual format can actually help you achieve them and according to Psychology Today, mental practices (like visualization) can increase motivation and confidence. In one study, researchers found that, in athletes, visualization was almost as effective as physical practice! When you’re done updating your vision board, download it, save it to your phone and set it as your wallpaper. It makes for a beautiful visual and daily reminder of all you’re setting out to accomplish. Happy vision boarding!
